Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as an ESL Teacher on a contract assignment near Napoleonville, LA. This role is essential for supporting non-native English speakers and guiding them toward language proficiency in an engaging and supportive setting. You'll play an important role in the growth and success of your students while working closely with peers and staff who share your passion for education and cultural awareness.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana State Teaching License/Certification, including appropriate endorsements for ESL
• Experience teaching in a general education and/or ESL setting preferred
• Strong understanding of language development principles and second-language acquisition
• Capacity for cultural sensitivity and empathy when working with students of diverse backgrounds
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan, structure, and implement daily lesson plans focused on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for English language learners
• Adapt curriculum materials to suit different language levels and learning styles
• Monitor student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s academic journey
• Foster a classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages participation
• Maintain accurate records and fulfill local and state reporting requirements

This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, running from ASAP through May 25, 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with your students and see the measurable impact of your dedication throughout the school year.
