RESPONSIBILITIES\n

• Estimate projects to be the most cost-effective for production and the client while maintaining quality and company profitability.
\n
• Engineer a manufacturing plan based on written specifications.
\n
• Manage multiple requests ranging from quotes, alteration estimates, purchasing requests and budget quotes.
\n
• Consult with Account Services, Sales and Production as to alternatives to producing or estimate projects.
\n
• Investigate and recommend modifications to enhance quality, functionality and cost savings.
\n
• Prepare required documentation for the estimate and purchases, including but not limited to the estimate, 3-vendor quotations for each outside purchase, purchase orders and vendor credits.
\n
• Monitor their own workload and informs management of bottlenecks and or jeopardized deadlines so corrective action can be taken.
\n
• Acquire paper samples as requested.
\n
• Maintain paper swatch cabinets.
\n
• Purchase raw materials as requested by other department managers.
\n
• Identify vendors to provide products and services that meet our customers’ standards.
\n
• Perform other duties as requested, directed and assigned.

• Bachelors Degree or Experience Described Below
\n
• 5+ years of estimating experience in sheet-fed printing, folding carton estimating, or point of purchase display estimating and/or production experience
\n
• Prior experience with Pre-Press, Pressroom and bindery, folding and gluing, die cutting and hand assembly
\n
• Understanding of graphics principles and a good working knowledge of the entire process
\n
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
